How To Get to the Sydney Lyric

Sydney Lyric is located in the inner-city suburb of Pyrmont and is easily accessible via public transport, taxi or car with ample parking nearby. Plan your journey by calling 131 500 or visit Sydney Transport Info website.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

When visiting our theatre, you will comply by the Conditions of Entry current at the time of the performance you are attending.

Transport Info

  • Train

    A 20 minute walk from Town Hall Station or alight at Central Station and transfer to the Light Rail.

  • Bus

    Buses stop in front of The Star, or nearby in Pyrmont. Services include:
    389 Bondi Junction to Pyrmont
    501 Parramatta to Central via Pyrmont

  • Light Rail

    The L1 Dulwich Hill Line stops at The Star. Alight and follow the signs to the Sydney Lyric. Plan your trip.

  • Ferry

    The F4 Pyrmont Bay service stops at Pyrmont Bay Wharf. Walk five minutes to the Sydney Lyric. Plan your trip.

  • Driving

    Parking is limited on the surrounding streets. Discounted parking is available at Harbourside Car Park for Sydney Lyric patrons. Find out more below. Public transport may be the most efficient and reliable option, particularly when you are travelling in the peak time between 5:00pm - 7:00pm in the evening.

Special Parking Rate

We recommend Harbourside Car Park, a 5-10 minute walk from the theatre. A discounted rate of $14* applies to Sydney Lyric patrons. You must pre-book your parking ticket to access the special rate via the Wilson Parking website. Use codeword LYRIC when booking your Harbourside parking and make sure to not select a time period of over 24 hours.

Please note:

  • *This rate is for all day parking, however, not overnight parking.
  • Harbourside car park now has Book A Bay licence plate recognition. When you enter the car park, your licence plate is scanned and the boom gate will open automatically (this means your booking has been recognised). If your licence plate is not recognised or you are driving a different car to your booking, you can tap or insert your nominated credit card.
  • Valid for one entry and one exit only.
  • You must enter and exit within your pre-booked period.
  • There is a one hour grace period prior to your entry time and following your exit time (pending car park operating hours) to allow for unforeseen circumstances.
  • Please check the car park location.

The car park at The Star is also available and can be entered from Pirrama Road in Pyrmont. Disabled parking bays are located in the vicinity of the car park entrance lobbies. Full parking rates apply.

Please note, both car parks regularly reach capacity by 5:00pm - 6:00pm on Friday and Saturday evenings.

    There are always plenty of taxis waiting outside the hotel lobby of The Star. Rideshare services are also readily available.
